Oh no MSN, do not even play the finger pointing game at Facebook or any other website that accepts payment for advertisements. The ads that this story speaks of are used all over the Internet including MSN. The advertisers put a shocking photograph on their ad to catch the readers attention and then make a statement about paying too much for insurance, or ask if you have too many wrinkles in your skin and just about any other type of product. I have seen pictures of prisoners with long nasty hair and missing teeth. The pictures are used for the attention grabbing abilities of the person displayed and that is about all. I hate to say it but a lot of people have no idea of who Mohamed Atta is. These people may look at the picture and say this evil looking dude looks familiar. At that point the advertisement has done its job....it has grabbed your attention. I must say that using Mohamed Atta's photograph is in very poor taste but it has caught the attention of the people complaining about the offensive photo. Either way, the gimmick has worked. It really is a clever way of bringing attention to your product or service. However, for MSN to make it sound like a tactic that only Facebook and other social networking sites would use is disingenuous.

Face book who the hell uses that garbage. Oh wait I forgot the zombies do. No wonder people are buying zombie insurance to protect themselves from these brainwashed fools who build their own files for the corrupt that use that information for all kinds of illegal activities. The company even breaks its own TOS and never deletes any files from its database and lets it sit stagnant on outdated systems.

Nearly a billion people use facebook. It's an advertisers dripping, soaking, sloshing wet dream. Nearly one billion potential customers on a single website is the Holy Grail to them.

The small business I work for, has picked up an extra 1.2 million a year ( and we are just a regional chain) for the past three years on average advertising through facebook. If people consider facebook users to be zombies, we will be more than happy to offer up fresh meat to keep them coming back for more.

They're just playing with us to see if we're paying attention...Apparently some of us are! So,...I think Markie mark has some "splainin" to do!...Come on Zuckerberg...

The people who create these ads are just looking through stock photos and are not taking the time or effort to see exactly who or what is in the photo that they use. Comedian Brian Haner has an ad on his facebook page that a politician sent out about how he was going to be tough on crime. The problem was "the criminals" in the ad were members of music groups. His son the guitarist from Avenged Sevenfold was one of the images used. Needless to say people recognized that these were stock photos of bands and were not impressed. People need to do homework to make sure the image that they are using is actually appropriate for the message that they are trying to convey.

Exactly right; I see them on face book a lot. One I saw this morning had an interesting image of a black guys mug shot, but someone exaggerated his facial features and made it look extra racist.

Is there something wrong with the water in Texas? Here in America, the only PROOF that exists, takes place in a court of law. Outside of COURT, everything is debatable. That is our largest complaint. No INVESTIGATION into 9/11 has been granted the required powers to arrive at the TRUTH, and use those FACTS to file an indictment against those who were either derelict in their duties, or complicit in the crime of MASS MURDER against US CITIZENS on US soil.

It makes no logical sense to assume that you know what the results of both an unhindered subpoena empowered investigationa and subsequent series of trials would bring. And then advocate that we shouldn't do them, as required by the Constitution. Crimes have to be investigated and prosecuted. Mass Murder is a crime with NO STATUTE of LIMITATIONS. Impeding the investigation is something very akin to making yourself an Accessory after the FACT.

I'm not saying it shouldn't be investigated. In fact, it has been investigated. It will continue to be investigated, over and over, for years to come. All I am saying is that no matter how thorough and open any of the investigations are, you and many like you will only accept the results as fair and valid if they agree with your currently held beliefs. Any findings that do not agree with what you believe will be shot down as a further conspiracy.

Besides what I know about engineering and demolition, probably the one things that I find most convincing that 9/11 was not a conspiracy by the U.S. government, is what I know of psychology. If you get more than two or three people involved in a "secret" project, it won't be long before one of the people says something publicly. Knowing that it would have taken hundreds of engineers and technicians to wire even one of the towers, I find it inconceivable that, to date, not one of those people has come forward.

In an effort to be fair and open-minded, and at the request of a friend who also believes the government is lying about 9/11, I watched a documentary-style video purporting such. It's been several years and I can't recall specifics points, but overall I remember many of the video's claims seemed begging to be debunked. In fact, Popular Mechanics published an article which did the very thing, debunking many of the 9/11 conspiratorial claims. Common sense says the number of co-conspirators needed for such a grand conspiracy would eventually topple the whole affair because of the weight alone.

I did google "9/11 hijackers still alive" and got many hits. One of the sites links supporting evidence back to the BBC. I went to the BBC article which was written only 12 days after 9/11. I think in the heat of reporting and law investigation, it is not unreasonable to see name mix-ups, especially if it is westerners reporting on Islamic names. I also checked out the subject on Wikipedia which had a great deal of information about the hijackers. Wiki's position also supports the claim that some mix-ups in hijacker names came from early, rash reporting, which led to conspiratorial claims. Some of the mix-ups were due to name commonalities, for instance an Arabic version of "John Smith."

Overall, I think the official version of the events surrounding 9/11 ring with more truth than conspiratorial explanations. Now, I'm not contending our goverment doesn't harbor any secrets surrounding 9/11, or other things for that matter. I wouldn't be surprised. But as to who planned and committed the attrocities of 9/11, it was al-Qaeda, just as claimed by that terror group and the U.S. government.

I know there's a small percentage of folks who wouldn't accept the official explanation of 9/11 regardless of any evidence. Some of these folks are keen on many other conspiracy theories, as well, and maybe some of their claims have merit. But not in this case. Paul and Script, I wish you well but don't think you could be more wrong on this matter.

Saying that a theory has been debunked, when both parties are not on camera in the same room while under oath, is ridiculous.

Most debunking involves first misstating the theory, then disproving the strawman you have created in a vacuum.

We will accept the TRUTH of 9/11, when all of our questions have been answered, and those answers have been cross-examined, all while under oath and penalty of perjury. That is what it means to be a TRUE American, instead of a "sheeple".

Larry- what does it matter if that article was a week after 9-11 or two years? It wasn't that these men were falsely accused and "identified"- how were their passports on the planes? All nineteen hijackers were "identified" through actual physical evidence (passports and multiple copies of the koran)- so how did their id's get there, if they weren't even there?

Of course none of us know nor ever will know what really happened on September 11, but to follow the "official" account completely unquestioningly is as stupid and counter-logical as the craziest conspiracy theories.

Paul, at the time of 9/11 and for many years before that, my job in the military gave me access to very large amounts of classified information, confidential, secret, top secret and code word. Neither before, the day of, nor after 9/11, did I ever see anything that even remotely indicated any involvement of any part of our government had anything, directly or indirectly to do with the events of 9/11.

Controlled Demolition is one of the best know demolition companies in the world, go to their sight http://www.controlled-demolition.com/ and ask them how many people it would take and how long it would take to wire even one of the World Trade Towers, even without having to conceal all of the work. Then ask them what a building that is essentially hung on a central core, looks like as it collapses. Finally, ask them what flying large, commercial aircraft, almost fully loaded with fuel, into the building would do to any destruction plan, since there is no way of knowing exactly where the plane is going to hit.

If what you are saying is true, you wouldn't be at liberty to confirm what I posted. Correct? Your oath does permit you to come to a blog and lie about what you do or don't know though.

So, since you are claiming to have "inside" information, tell us how our military was unable to locate a commercial aircraft flying directly at the Pentagon and Washington DC for twenty minutes, nor get a single fighter aircraft aloft and flying air-cap over same? How far is Andrews Airforce Base from the Pentagon at Mach .8? Secondarily, there was an E-4B flying within 20 miles of DC when the Pentagon was allegedly hit by Flight 77. Shouldn't the E4-B have known what was going on in its airspace? Were any AWACs aloft along the Eastern Seaboard that morning? Tell us what you know about the military DRILLS taking place that morning, like Northern Vigilance.

As far as controlled demolition goes, WTC#1&2, weren't rigged by a commercial contractor. Those folks are limited in what kinds of explosives they are allowed to use and by what methods they can safely choose to detonate the placed charges. Secondly, they usually have to be concerned with not doing damage to nearby buildings. Whomever "rigged" towers 1&2 weren't limited in the same ways that CDI would be, and the impact points for the planes were predetermined ahead of time. The last thing they would have wanted the demolition of the TWIN TOWERS to be, was a classically recognizable "implosion". It was made to appear that the plane impact points would be where the "collapse" initiated. This doesn't explain the total disappearances of the tops of the buildings, and things like the Radio tower. They appeared to disintigrate, in mid-air, before each collapse was even one third of the way completed. If the hammer driving the nail turns to dust during the downstroke, when the dust clears, half of the nail should still be standing.

WTC#7 was a classic demolition. Who Silverstein had rig that for a "pull" I can only guess.
